First I heard of this. Thoughts? Any experience? I know it’s a small sample size, but as a potential F150 buyer, I’m interested...

Don’t worry about it. Recalls are everywhere . The F-150's my choice in the segment after many years of research and samples.

150 is a heck of a truck. Don’t let this change your opinion. This could be individual plant related or a design flaw. They will fix it and kill it dead. And I am Mopar leaning in my personal preference.

Besides, I though Brian Griffin drove a Prius?

The F-150 is a great truck, regardless of whether or not this ends up resulting in a recall. I’ve had a 2011 F-150 EcoBoost and it has been awesome for me

Like The Compromiser says, this could be related to a plant issue, it could be a supplier issue, it could be limited to a very small number of vehicles, or it may not end up being a recall at all. Fire up http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchS… and you can search by year and make to see all recalls for a particular manufacturer for that model year. Every manufacturer will have recalls.

Not seen one yet, have seen a lot of network communication issues out of the new f150's however. Hard to duplicate (most we can’t) let a lone fix.
